The Asheville area is served by the Asheville Regional Airport with additional flights available from nearby Greenville Spartanburg (SC) International Airport.

Transportation in Asheville

NCUR^® 20 is pleased to offer shuttles between UNC-Asheville and NCUR^® hotels during the conference. A list of NCUR^® hotels served by the shuttles will be posted on this site in November.

Please note that all conference participants are responsible for making their own arrangements for ground transfers to and from the airport. For your convenience in making these arrangements, please refer to the following options for ground transportation to and from the airport and/or throughout your stay in Asheville.

Ground Transportation

NCUR participants are responsible for making ground transportation or shuttle arrangements between their hotels and the airport. The following transportation options are available:

Local Shuttle Services

Asheville Airport Express -- Cost: $25 each way, to/from hotels or to UNC Asheville.

This private service will provide NCUR participants with a reduced cost shuttle to and from the Airport. You must make reservations in advance and be sure to mention that you are with NCUR or UNC Asheville.

Airport Ground Transportation -- available in the baggage claim area for $25-35 one way or $45-65 round trip. You may also reserve ground transportation in advance by contacting Airport Ground Transportation at 1-888-288-9915 or toll free (888)288-9915 or make a reservation online at http://www.ashevillelimousine.com.

You do not have to make reservations to use this service, although calling ahead is always suggested. These folks have a desk in the airport across from the rental car desks and should be open during all incoming flight times.

City Bus Service

Route 6 goes to the airport Monday - Saturday (NO operation on Sundays) with the first bus arriving at the airport at 9:25am and the last bus leaving the airport at 6:25pm. In order to get to the Airport from UNC Asheville, take Route 18 from UNC Asheville to the Downtown Transit Center and then connect onto Route 6 to get to the airport. Taxi Service

On demand taxi service is not available from the Asheville Regional Airport, however, return taxi service is available from hotels to the airport for approximately $25-35 per trip depending on your hotel location. See the concierge or front desk of your hotel for details on booking a taxi.
